Syneron is a leading and rapidly growing medical company involved in the design, development, and marketing of aesthetic medical devices to physicians and other practitioners worldwide. The company’s products are used for hair removal, wrinkle removal, rejuvenating the skin’s appearance, and cellulite reduction.

We are currently searching for a Controller for our Irvine California office.

Minimum Education Requirements: Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and 3 years of experience in finance.

Description

• Responsible for all financial and management accounting, reporting functions, tax functions and adherence to GAAP and other regulations and laws applicable to the North American (U.S. and Canada) region of the business.
• Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the accounting records of the company in accordance with GAAP requirements accurately and a timely manner.
• Responsible for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Control and Cash Management.
• Collaborate with management to ensure the MFG system meets the need of the business in an efficient, cost-effective and user-friendly manner.
• Satisfy all reporting requirements of the company (both internal and external) in a timely manner.
• Meet with external auditors, consultants, provincial and Federal auditors as required.
• Adhere to all fiscal and NASDAQ regulations, and other provincial and Federal laws.
• Ensure the availability of inventory according to company guidelines.
• Alert management to any possible concerns regarding financial health of company.
• Introduce and implement Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements under the direction of management.
• Introduce and implement budgetary control procedures to monitor expenses and report on variances in the timely manner.
• Provide information as requested to Corporate Finance Department.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, GAAP and MFG systems
• Experience with Transfer Pricing and International Taxation
• Proficient in multi-currency systems and transactions
